The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has joined forces with the Government of Pakistan to conduct a specialized training workshop on Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2) indicators. The workshop, held in Islamabad from November 20 to November 24, 2023, focuses on enhancing expertise in measuring the Prevalence of Undernourishment (POU) and the Prevalence of Moderate and Severe Food Insecurity in the population based on the Food Insecurity Expense Scale (FIES). The initiative aims to strengthen Pakistan's capabilities in addressing food security challenges and advancing progress towards achieving SDG 2, which aims to end hunger, achieve food security, and promote sustainable agriculture.
