Education:
MS in Engineering Management, University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila Pakistan.
Master's in Computer Science, Hamdard University, Pakistan
Experience:
Over all 20 years of professional experience working with government and private sector initiatives related to Environment, Transport, GIS/RS, System & Data Analysis, Software development, Project Management and MIS and R&D etc. Before devoting his fulltime to National Initiatives of Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs Support Unit, UNDP, Azfar served as Research Officer on PAKSTRAN Project related to sustainable trucking sector in Pakistan. He has worked on National Environmental Information Management System at NEIMS Project. He has worked on GIS/RS based Nation Land Use Planning at Ministry of Environment, software project design, development and management related to ICT with the leading IT companies in Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the IT component of the project, develop and provide technical inputs (in case of third party service provision) for online data portals, dashboards, e-governance solutions etc.
Involve in information need analysis and identify and specify the technology that best meet the need.
ICT Project Management related activities.
