Rabeea has over 7 years of work experience in the field of media and communication. She began her professional career as TV News Reporter with Dawn News, working for developing TV news reports for current affairs and news. She also worked as visiting lecturer in Photojournalism, Graphic Designing and 2D animation at the International Islamic University, Islamabad for their undergraduate Programme. She has worked in the development sector since 2015 in local and international organizations.
Before joining UNDP Pakistan, she served the Government of Pakistan as a gazetted officer in BPS- 18. She, as Deputy Director (Communications) and Project Director, was responsible for the implementation of the public sector project, Human Rights Awareness Programme at the Ministry of Human Rights. She also served as the staff officer for Dr. Shireen Mazari (Former Minister for Human Rights).
Rabeea holds an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and a post-graduate degree in Multimedia Arts, from the National College of Arts, Lahore specializing in interactive film-making.
