Raziq Muhammad Shinwari
Economic Policy Advisor
Raziq Shinwari holds MSc in Development Finance from Global Development Institute (formerly Institute of Development Policy & Management) University of Manchester UK and MA Economics from University of Peshawar. He is also a Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholar.
As policy economist, his professional career spreads over 19 years working with the government and development sector institutions. His areas of expertise include macroeconomic policy, financing development, fiscal planning, budgeting & PFM reforms, sustainable development, policy, governance & economic reforms, strategy and implementation. Previously he worked with State Bank of Pakistan, Finance Division, SAFRON Division, Prime Minister’s Office (Public), UNDP and Oxford Policy Management. He was also part of the teams providing technical support to the apex level committees constituted for transformative socio-economic, administrative and political reforms in erstwhile FATA. He was also engaged with World Bank and UNDP projects providing technical assistance to the government on policy and development reforms at national and subnational levels.
